Job description / Role
Reporting to: Director - Development
Objectives:
To work within the Development & Technical Department to focus on the delivery of industry leading designs to support the Capital Programme of Bahrain Airport Company / Bahrain International Airport and other new enterprises in the future strategy.
Main responsibilities:
- To support the Development & Technical drive towards efficiency in the delivery of schemes.
- To support the department in administering contracts, including the transfer of risk and liability for design through the project lifecycle. A mature and flexible approach to design ownership will be essential to match the varied nature of projects across the airport.
- Act as client representative and key communication point for all stakeholders (internal and external) in order to ensure timely sharing of information and decision
- To provide preliminary design information enabling accurate initial budgets to be developed.
- Assisting other airport Departments in the production of business cases for projects.
- Take an active role during Capex budget setting and individual project budget development, alongside the Development & Training Management and other Bahrain Airport Company departments.
- To operate and manage internal procedures to verify the correct operation of BAC procedures with the Development & Technical Team.
- Identify and evaluate a range of possible solutions (including process change, IT and construction), make a recommendation on the best solution and develop the chosen solution through the feasibility stage, in accordance with the Development Process.
- Through close liaison with the Airport Project Team and others, to ensure that all relevant information is available to enable project delivery activities to be undertaken efficiently.
- Support the efficient integration of new facilities into the existing operation.
Requirements
- University degree in Engineering related subjects
- Other certifications obtained: PMP
- 10+ years relevant experience
- 3+ years’ experience in airports preferred.
Specialist knowledge:
Highly competent in MS Office Software, Autocad preferred.
Nationality Preference: Bahraini
