QSHE Officer

Job description / Role

Holder of this job will be responsible for all QSHE aspects of Bahrain cluster (Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait) including Quality, Safety, Health, Environment, and Security.

QSHE Compliance include but not limited to: Company corporate guidelines, Country legislation and Specific projects contractual obligations

Main Responsibilities
- Review, evaluate and analyze work environments and implement programs and procedures to control, eliminate and prevent work HSE hazards
- Conduct inspections and enforce adherence to laws and regulations governing the health and safety
- Adhere, train and ensure the customer HSE requirements are met and followed
- Investigate and report all accidents, near misses as per Kuehne + Nagel safety Management procedures and ensure necessary corrective/ preventive actions are implemented to aim K+A30 vision towards No Harm to people and to the Environment
- Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes or materials.
- Check cranes, forklifts, trucks and other equipements safety conditions before start up the operations
- Prepare and ensure job plans, job Hazard Analysis sheets and other related safety documents are available and approved before every activity that involves QSHE risks
- Prepare QHSE training materials and provide trainings to all the employees, sub-contractors and involved stakeholders
- Provide daily safety Toolbox talks to K+N employees, subcontractors and other stakeholders where necessary
- Carry out risk assessments; planning and following corrective & preventive activities according to risk assessment outcomes
- Carry out audits and inspections; to complete site visits reports promptly and submit to the appropriate persons together with recommended actions

Requirements

- Trained Internal Auditor as per ISO 9001 standards
- Project Management Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in Oil, Gas and Marine Logistics
- Health & Safety Certificates and Diplomas such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OHSAS 18001
- Self-motivated, creative, energetic and hard-working.
- Good analytical, interpersonal & communication skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
