Quantity Surveyor

Job description / Role

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. The Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in ensuring that projects are completed within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
- Conduct cost analysis and prepare reports
- Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier contracts
- Manage and track project costs to ensure adherence to budget
- Assess and value variations to the contract
- Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes
- Prepare and submit final accounts
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure cost-effective project delivery

Salary:
BHD 500 to 800 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and cost control
- Proficiency in quantity take-off and cost estimating
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
- Good understanding of construction methods and materials
- Familiarity with relevant software such as AutoCAD, MS Excel, and cost estimating software
