Teller

Job description / Role

Our client is a foreign bank, which establish since 1960s, with a network of more than 60 branches, are looking to hire a Teller for their branch in Bahrain.

Job duties & responsibilities:

Customer Focus
- Respond to customers’ need and provide them with relevant orientation concerning their choices.
- Refers to client by last name and is always smiling and friendly
- Voice level in Branch as quiet as possible
- Maintains discipline line control for customers
- Never keeps head down while clients are waiting and shows client his time is valued
- Provides a fast service to client & Manages time with data input (e.g. counts money while receipt is printing examines check face and endorsement while receipt is printing)
- Refers client complaints to DBM for action

Branch Security
- Leaves teller stations secure if away from his station
- Respects the banking secrecy concerning all customers
- Maintains cash levels within predefined limits
- Keeps cash out of reach of clients and particularly strangers

Main Duties
- Cash deposits and withdrawals within the established time standard, and purchases checks (local & foreign).
- Issues and pays draft checks.
- Exchange transactions.
- Transfers from account to account.
- Various cards transactions.
- Checks payment.
- Filing of vouchers

Requirements

- Relevant qualifications and certifications
- Bachelor Degree
- Previous experience as a Teller
- 2 to 3 years experience in the banking industry
