Job description / Role
Strategic
- Contributes to the development of the Tourism’s mandate in cooperation with the Director to fulfill the company’s strategy
- Communicates the Sector Team’s strategy to all the members of the department to ensure effective implementation
- Executes the department’s strategy/plan and reports progress against defined KPIs/Targets
Operational
- Leverages industry knowledge and contacts to identify and cultivate prospective investors
- Helps identify leads and opportunities with potential investors within the Tourism sector
- Manages and directs the preparation of investment value propositions
- Facilitates and provides extensive support to Director in managing investor relations for the full life-cycle of investment promotion activities
- Manages and monitors existing investors and provides support through calls, quarterly reviews, questionnaires
- Identifies growth and expansions opportunities for existing investors
- Manages investor walk-ins and miscellaneous inquiries
- Coordinates with Market & Strategy Intelligence and the International Offices to ensure that all the necessary company, geography and industry specific intelligence in targeted geographies and sectors is being obtained
- Develops clear, structured requests for research activities to be undertaken by the Market & Strategy Intelligence department
- Connects with Business Development Support to ensure the facilitation processes run smoothly
- Manages the team’s coordination with the Marketing and Communications department to organize investor visits and ensure that all marketing materials for events and roadshows are prepared
- Helps coordinate with the Business Development Support department, Legal department, and the Market & Strategy Intelligence department to support identification of process, policy and regulation challenges within the Bahraini business environment
People
- Responsible for day-to-day management of investment attraction activities executed by direct reports
- Effectively allocates tasks and projects across direct reports and continuously supervises them and their work on a daily basis
- Provides guidance and coaching on best practice methods to achieve the department’s and the company’s goals and ensure the on-going professional development of direct reports
Requirements
- University Bachelor’s Degree in the related discipline, mandatory
- Master’s Degree or Specialized Certification, preferred
- Minimum seven to ten years of experience working in the Tourism sector
- Experience in deal structuring, negotiations and/or investor relations management preferred
