CNC Machinist

Job description / Role

Industrious and detail-oriented are a few of the qualities that you will bring with you as a highly skilled CNC Machinist. Applicants must have a certificate of qualification or have at 2-5 years experience in areas covered by an apprenticeship within this skilled trade.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to set up and operate gear cutting machines of the following

- Operating CNC boring mills.
- Excellent blueprint reading ability including a thorough understanding of geometric, dimension and tolerancing. Mastercam would be an asset.
- Fully capable of all aspects of CNC cylindrical grinding skills and practices.
- Fully capable of machine cycle and tool optimization.
- Experience with Devlieg would be an asset.
- Must have working knowledge with Fanuc and Fagor controls.
- Must be able to set up and program their own machine.

Requirements

Completion of secondary school is required. Completion of a four-year apprenticeship program. or Two to five years of work experience in the trade Require criminal record check. Speak English (French an asset)
