Senior Scheduler

Job description / Role

Client:
Linum Consult’s client is a major consultancy, currently seeking a Senior Scheduler from a Mining background to join their team in Calgary, Canada.

Responsibilities:
• Implementing the project planning & scheduling strategy
• Coordinating the development and implementation of the project Work Breakdown Structures and Cost Breakdown Structures in conjunction with the Project Controls Lead and the Project Cost Consultant
• Generating master schedules for projects and applying resource and cost loading
• Preparing labour histograms
• Working alongside project teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the schedules produced
• Conducting project schedule analyses, critical path analyses, and schedule risk analyses
• Analysing deviations from the baseline in the project master schedule, highlighting any bottlenecks or delays, and proposing corrective actions in a report
• Ensuring quality standards are complied with, and participating in ISO audits

Requirements

Profile:
• Degree qualification in Engineering or a similar subject from a recognized university
• 5 years’ experience in a project controls and scheduling role within the Mining sector
• Ability to collate and organize multiple sources of schedule data into a master schedule platform
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver status reports
• Proficiency in using project scheduling tools, such as MS Project and Primavera P6
• Strong analytical skills
• The right to live and work in Canada, with extensive experience in the Canadian mining market
