Job description / Role
Our Client, a leading global organization, are looking for a Chief Financial Officer, to join their team based in China. The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for presenting and reporting accurate and timely financial information. The ideal candidate will have an innate entrepreneurial drive and oversee all day-to-day activities of the group finances.
The key responsibilities of the role, are as follows:
• Overall financial control of the global entities within the group structure;
• Be responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of control systems, policies and procedures;
• Be responsible for accounts filing, tax compliance and pricing policies;
• Work with direct reports to drive the efficiency and accuracy of the month-end reporting cycle, ensuring that the system and processes are used to their full potential;
• Ensure all entities are fully compliant with regulatory and taxation requirements;
• Provision of management accounts for the company globally;
• Lead the annual business planning process, collaborating with all functional and geographical teams;
• Preparing submissions for quarterly board packs with relevant and detailed information;
• Forecasting income, expenditure and cash flow, while managing overheads;
• Cultivation of stakeholder and customer relationships;
• Be responsible for producing high quality insightful reporting, ensuring all reporting timescales and requirements are delivered;
• Preparation and delivery of annual business plan;
• Delivery of all statutory reporting and tax compliance requirements;
• Production of ad-hoc analysis when requested.
Requirements
In order to apply for this role, you must have the following:-
• Highly motivated and passionate about finance;
• Recognised as a strong team leader with the charisma to lead a team to achieve exceptional performance;
• Excellent verbal, written communication skills and good presentation skills;
• Ability to communicate throughout all levels of an organisation both technical and non-technical;
• Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines;
• Able to think both strategically and tactically depending on the business needs;
• Develop in-depth relationships with key personnel;
• Minimum of three years’ experience as a Financial Director or CFO;
• Corporate Finance expertise, financial modelling, running company valuations and market analysis;
• Experience of setting up and managing internal control systems and reporting systems;
• Advanced IT skills, financial modelling in particular.
