Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsibilities:
• Managing a team of telecommuting behavioral health licensed clinical and non-clinical staff in order to deliver sound clinical interventions and quality documentation
• Serve as an behavioral health care coordination representative and subject matter expert for UnitedHealth Care Community partners, psychiatrists and other clinical and program staff to ensure that all care coordination programs are managed according to state requirements
• Work closely with the clinical operations teams to identify and address the clinical needs of individuals accessing behavioral health services
• Preparing reports and analyzing data in order to coach team to meet metrics successfully
• Identifying trends and interventions as needed in a positive, change oriented environment in order to promote consumer recovery via a recovery, health and wellness-oriented approach
• Local and multiple state travel 10-15%, or, as needed
• Managing projects and interventions from inception to completion
• Ensuring engagement and productivity of staff through management of ongoing auditing, training, performance management, coaching and mentoring

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in managing multiple clinical programs, across multiple states
• Experience managing field based/telecommuting employees
• Experience working in care coordination or case management
• Experience working in an environment that required coordination of benefits and utilization of multiple groups and resources for patients
• Dual diagnosis experience; mental health and substance abuse
• Medical/Behavioral setting experience (i.e. hospital, managed care organization, or joint medical/behavioral outpatient practice)
• Experience working with low-income populations, children, families, the aged, blind and disabled
• Experience working with severe mental illness
• Managed care and utilization management experience
• Experience working in a Community Mental Health Center or Behavioral Health Hospital
• Very strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability and flexibility to assume responsibilities and tasks in a constantly changing work environment
• Maintain direct and open communication with all levels of the organization
• Able to handle sensitive issues with peer, members and providers in a confidential manner
• Demonstrate initiative in achieving individual, team, and organizational goals and objectives

Required Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or Marriage or Family Counseling, OR an RN with a BSN and 2+ years of experience in psychiatric nursing
• Possesses an active, independent, and unrestricted license from your state of residence
• 5+ years of behavioral health experience post licensure
• 3+ years of management and/or leadership experience
• Experience working with Medicaid clinical programs
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications to include Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to commute within assigned territory
• Ability to travel to designated states (10-15%), or, as needed
• Reside in the state of Delaware
