Job Description

AP Accountant is responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations and to ensure the completion and accuracy of the full accounting cycle as per the set accounting standards.
- Prepare/register all the accounting documents / reports and ensure their accuracy. (i.e. bank reconciliation, journal vouchers, entries...etc.).
- Responsible for handling all aspects of accounts payable, including processing invoices, issuing checks and making bank withdrawals for approved payments.
- Ensure that the payable balances are properly calculated.
- Responsible for handling all cash and petty cash transactions with other departments, including processing disbursements through checks and bank withdrawals, following established procedures for security and accuracy.
- Ensure the accurate posting of transactions among all different books and records.
- Assist in preparing the aging report with his/her direct manager
- Register the direct & indirect costs related to each project.
- Responsible for cash management activities to achieve the non-operating corporate revenue of the company.
- Ensure the proper implementation of internal control procedures.
- Follow up all HSE Instructions.

Requirements

Personal Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Very good command of English.

Technical Skills
- Previous proven experience on ERP System.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.
- Additional certification (IFRS or CMA) is a plus.

Education
- Bachelor of Commerce / Accounting or a relevant degree.
