OrangeCyberDefense is seeking a talented Automation Architect to join our IT operations team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in establishing roadmaps, designing them, and supporting the implementation of DevOps principles for IT operations. You will leverage your expertise in automation tools and methodologies to streamline operational workflows, enhance analytics capabilities, and integrate machine learning to drive further efficiencies.

Your roles and responsibilities will be as follows:
- Strategic Planning & Roadmapping:
- Architecture governance, principles, design standards, policies, and procedures that encourage innovation through automation & AI, whilst prioritising security, reliability, and scalability across on-premises and cloud Hyperscalers globally.
- Develop a comprehensive automation roadmap for IT Operations, aligned with business objectives.
- Identify opportunities for automation across the IT service delivery lifecycle.
- Conduct research and stay current on emerging automation technologies and best practices.
- Design & Architecture:
- Design and implement automation solutions using industry-standard tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Develop reusable automation components and libraries to promote code consistency and maintainability.
- Integrate automation solutions with existing IT infrastructure and monitoring tools.
- Develop operational data monitoring, analysis, and automated remediation solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
- DevOps Implementation & Collaboration:
- Champion the adoption of DevOps principles within IT Operations.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to bridge the gap between development and operations.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments and configuration management.
- Analytics & Machine Learning:
- Develop and implement strategies to leverage data analytics and machine learning for operational insights and predictive maintenance.
- Identify opportunities to automate tasks based on data-driven analysis.
- Work with data scientists to explore the use of machine learning for IT operations optimization.
- Implementation & Support:
- Lead or participate in the implementation and rollout of automation solutions.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for automation tools and workflows.
- Document automation processes and procedures for knowledge sharing.

Requirements

About you

Education, Qualifications, and Certifications:
- Engineering Degree in Computer, Communication, Electronics, MIS, or equivalent experience.
- Information security certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, etc.) are a plus.

Professional Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in IT Operations with a strong understanding of IT service delivery processes.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing automation solutions using scripting languages and automation tools.
- Working knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) through DevOps, and tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Skills
- Hands-on experience in evaluating specifications, lab validating, & testing.
- Hands-on experience in analysing architecture and building proposals.
- Strong knowledge of operational security management processes across multiple platforms
- Strong leadership abilities, can-do approach with the capability to develop and guide information security team members and IT operations personnel, act as an owner for constant improvement in the team, and work with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills (written, oral, presentations) with a keen sense of ownership and comfortable communicating with stakeholders and team members
- Excellent analytical, decision making, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent relationship and stakeholder management
- Educate, coach, and influence team members.
- Able to multi-task prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
- Experience leading the response to security incidents and managing them to conclusion
- Experience in report writing, developing dashboards and reports highlighting risks for senior management
- Fluent in both spoken and written English is a must, and French is a plus
