Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Role purpose:
- Manage different local and Group stakeholders to ensure a strong privacy compliance framework, effectively managing key risks to secure the business against Financial, Reputational and Legal damages.
- Ensure that company policies are in compliance with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Ensure that company policies are in compliance with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and the Group Privacy framework and all related controls.
- Drive a strong data protection & Privacy framework across the organisation and identify areas of compliance issues for rectification
- Devise training plans and provide data protection advice to staff members
- Inform and advise the data controller or data processor on all matters related to data protection
- Promote a culture of data protection and compliance across all units of the organization
- Lead VF-Egypt Privacy Risk Management framework ensuring we comply with VF-Egypt tailored Privacy Compliance approach while following Group requirements, GDPR and Local Data Protection Law;
- Define monitoring and reporting to cater internal and external stakeholders' needs and provide regular reports to CEO and Executive Management on Privacy Risk & Compliance, highlighting and driving decisions on major risks
- Serve as the main point of contact within the organization for staff members, regulators, and relevant public authorities on issues related to data protection & Privacy
- Liaise and manage all engagements with Data Protection Enforcement bodies

Requirements

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- Lead & influence cross functional teams locally and globally to ensure appropriate control implementation and management of relevant risks
- Engage and communicate effectively on a regular basis with local management, local Exco, Group compliance and risk teams, give quarterly oversight on risk and compliance status in the audit and risk committee and locally in the Risk and Compliance Committee.
- Strong leadership and problem solving skills to drive the required actions and manage different stakeholders in different departments to properly manage critical risks and enhance the control environment
- Apply Advanced judgment and decision making skills to judge relevant business transactions and 3rd party engagements for appropriate management of risks.
- Exposure across different business areas with a bird eye view, strong business acumen and analytical thinking to manage different risks across the organization.
