Employment: Full Time

Role purpose:
At Vodafone we are revolutionising the way we deliver Data and Analytics (D&A) to the business through creation of a common data model and platform in Google Cloud. The purpose of this role is to ensure seamless uptake of cloud data transformation solution components introduced by the agile delivery streams.

This role will have accountability for cloud data transformation PMO activities and support overall programme delivery. Accountability extends to partnering with programme managers, business stakeholders and delivery team members to proactively support the delivery of programme milestones and the continuous improvement in ways of working in an agile environment.

The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to carry out PMO activities for this Global Transformation programme ensuring and improving its governance and processes.
The role also requires a candidate to be comfortable with agile / SAFE project management practices, exposure to and ability to influence stakeholders in local markets. The chosen candidate must therefore demonstrate, a proven track record of experience on complex, multi-national programmes.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Project Governance - support the preparation of materials and facilitation of different governance forums and project agile ceremonies (such as PI Planning and sprint planning events), ensuring that the necessary plans and progress reports are produced and stakeholders are aligned on plans, priorities, dependencies and tasks. Additionally it is necessary to ensure that actions are being followed up.
- Project Processes & Controls - ensure appropriate project management processes are in place and improved with the use of different JIRA-based trackers (including Periscope) on resource utilisation, change requests, risks, issues, dependencies, etc. with effective escalations.
- Stakeholders - facilitate alignment between different stakeholders on issues, actions and priorities both internally and externally Ensuring that there is an ongoing and timely update of the different project documents
- Maintaining and developing PMO processes as well supporting the development of other programme processes.

Requirements

Core competencies, knowledge and experience :
- A good working knowledge of programme/project management Agile / SAFe methodologies and techniques joined with a high expertise in JIRA;
- Experience of supporting fast-paced, technology enabled programmes (data & analytics, business intelligence or similar);
- A "can-do" attitude with a strong motivation to getting things done despite obstacles and able to drive peers in a diverse international and distributed team
- Excellent communication/presentational skills, including the ability to produce high quality written documents.
- Transformational change experience in large multi-cultural / multi location organisation and the design and improvement of processes

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Project management qualification (e.g. Agile, SAFE, PMI, Prince2) desirable
- Proficient in Microsoft tools, including Project and Visio
- Knowledge of document management systems (e.g. Confluence, JIRA, ARIS)
