As part of our Data Engineering team, you will create data pipelines and data structures utilizing modern data technology, engineering process, and languages. You will be responsible for helping organizations migrate and modernize data platforms in support of enterprise analytics, intelligent applications, and machine learning initiatives.

As an Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

- Global orientation - Work with a global mindset with teams based in the UK, Germany and other Middle Eastern Countries
- Project work - Using innovative methods and partnerships with leading vendors, your role involves the following:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business processes, objectives, and challenges.
- Gather and extract relevant data from various sources, ensuring its accuracy and completeness.
- Clean, transform, and prepare data for analysis using appropriate tools and methodologies.
- Utilise process mining techniques and tools to visualise and map out as-is processes based on the extracted data.
- Analyse process data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and deviations from desired outcomes.
- Apply data analytics methods to measure process performance and quantify the impact of process variations.
- Propose process improvements and optimization strategies based on analysis findings and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement process changes, such as process redesign, automation, or the introduction of new technologies.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and the impact of process improvements to stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and support to clients in implementing process mining solutions and embedding process optimization practices within their organisation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, process owners, and IT professionals, to ensure successful implementation of process improvements.

Role requirements:

- Good understanding of data analytics and/or data science
- Experience in SQL is required
- Experience with Python programming is desirable
- Business process expertise in finance, operations, or energy sectors is desirable
- Understanding of process mining & modelling practices
- Familiarity with process mining and process modelling tools (e.g., Celonis, Signavio) is advantageous

Requirements

Essential skills & attributes:

- Excellent oral and written English skills
- Fluency in German is highly advantageous
- Technical Competence (SQL/Python)
- Understanding of general business processes (i.e. Finance)
- Ability and willingness to learn new subject areas
- High level of adaptability & flexibility
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work within a fast-paced & unstructured environment. Must be able to multi-task and effectively and continually prioritise

Education

- University degree, ideally in the fields of Computer and Information Science, Business Informatics, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Management Information Systems. We encourage all majors to apply.
- Data & analytics or process mining & modelling related certifications are a plus (i.e. Celonis Data Analyst Certification) Government Clearance Required
