Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

ROLE PURPOSE:

Finance business partner works closely with FinOps SL/Enabling functions in VSSE. Their role is to be accountable for financial performance, cost and revenues management, Pricing and to be a trusted advisor and to add value that will assist in decision making. Critical to their success is the ability to communicate their message, to understand their audience and deliver the information in a clear and user friendly manner.

Key Accountabilities:

Budgeting:
- Engage with business partners to acquire budget forecast, opportunities pipeline, to review forecasted HC, OPEX, Volumes and Revenues for budget cycles.
- Responsible to ensure budgeted OPEX is in line with actual expenditure.
- Analyze budget to report on existing and growth business cost drivers.
- Ensure DB efficiencies are in line with ZBB efficiencies.

Cost Management:
- Responsible for ensuring the P&L is reflecting accurate revenues and OPEX and to challenge cost elements if necessary.
- Audit, monitor and analyse business expenditure, conversion and FTE overheads to ensure it's in line with budget.

FBP Skills Set:
- Act as an interface or 'translator' between finance and business operations.
- Commercially aware, understanding and anticipating the needs of both operations and finance direction.
- Must have strong core business skills including influencing, stakeholder management and presentation skills.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Interpret data, order and assess its value and then present the findings to the relevant stakeholders in a clear and concise way to support decision making.
- Must be able to form and stand over their opinions, have a well-developed sense of ethics and be prepared to stand up for these principles
- Should be comfortable with risk and working with ambiguity.
- They learn from the past but are future orientated in line with the business strategy.

Technical / Professional Expertise:
- Education: B.Sc./ Degree
- Work Experience: Min. 4 - 5 years' preferably Finance
- PC Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of the main applications Word, Excel, Power Point
- Technical skills: communication skills, negotiation skills, presentation skills analytical, financial, commercial thinking
- Personal skills, stakeholder management ,leadership, planning, time management, cross cultural awareness, matrix management and excellent dealing with numbers.
