Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures adherence to regulations and requirements related to fire safety;
- Ensures compliance with guiding documents regulating the control and coordination of activities to ensure fire safety at the industrial facility site;
- Organizes and conducts oversight and inspection activities to ensure implementation of the rules for ensuring fire safety at the industrial facility site;
- Understands the technical means for initial extinguishing of fires and all associated required equipment;
- Ensures compliance with standards and rules for designing fire alarm and fire extinguishing systems;
- Reviews and comments on design documentation and oversees installations, testing and commissioning of active and passive fire safety systems.
- Contributes to the review and development of the necessary documentation regulating fire safety and compliance with applicable norms and programs.
- Coordinates and analyzes the materials used in construction, their safe storage and use at the industrial facility.
- Reviews and/or performs conceptual design studies for the construction of facilities such as fire alarm systems, automatic fire extinguishers and primary means of fire extinguishing at the industrial facility.
- Surveys and/or implements design pumping systems, pumping stations, pipelines and power lines to ensure the necessary water quantities for firefighting.
- Reviews and/or participates in fire hazard analysis updates.
- Reviews and/or designs and/or selects equipment for use in fire safety systems to ensure compliance with state standards.

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or equivalent
- Strong technical skills; 7 years of experience in fire protection on NPP projects and/or in NPP operation
- Experienced in computer-aided design (CAD) is a plus
- Knowledge of Russian and European normative documents is a plus

- Work location is Cairo, Egypt and the El Dabaa NPP site.
- Ability to communicate, influence and persuade
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, understanding of Russian is a plus
