General Accountant

Job description / Role

Job Responsibilities:
• Supervise and process petty cash fund request and disbursement of expenses to petty cash holder.
• Maintain the purchase order system.
• Ensure data is entered into the system.
• Prepare, analyse and report weekly, monthly, quarterly gross margin analysis by brand by customer type
• Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, analyse inventory evaluation, inventory roll forward
• Assists in providing information for audits preparation.
• Prepare and communicate the monthly petty cash analysis and prepare different reports regarding petty cash expenses and provide recommendation on reduction of over expenses.
• Reconciling financial discrepancies in expenses head by collecting and analysing account information and provide reports to Finance Manager.
• Ensuring the orientation of accounting entries and posting them to the correct accounts.
• Receive Delivery Order from store and verified it from available stock.
• Statement related to local payment and statement related to external payment on monthly basis.
• Assist Finance Manager to carry out operational activities of Accounts Department.
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements.
• Establish and maintain supplier accounts.
• As and when required, any other task assigned by Finance Manager.

Requirements

Qualification:
• Bachelor Degree in Accountancy from a reputable Institute or any certificate in accountancy from recognized professional body.
• Experience:
• Four (4) years of experience in accounts and finance function, which of them 1 year as General Accountant in a reputable manufacturing organization.
• Experience in accounts department of paints manufacturing companies in Egypt would be an edge on other candidates.
