Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

General Manager - Sports Facilities - Cairo Festival City - AFGRE - Cairo, Egypt

Purpose: To have the market knowledge of private sports & social clubs and the ability to conceptualize the CFC facility. To have the capacity to select and oversee the technical design and construction development process of the facility.

To demonstrate a proven track record in a Senior Management role in sports club operations and overseeing feasibility studies, developing budgets, cash flows and membership structure:
- Defining CFC's distinctive core sports & social club activities
- Choosing the design office whom will be entrusted with the integrated designs of the club
- Designing, in conjunction with the designated consultancy office, the master plan of the club; along with studying all possible alternatives for the optimum allocation of the various club zones and activities, observing the required sport functionality of the various sport zones.
- Overseeing the different design phases; reviewing the specifications of the sport equipment and materials for the different entities and courts
- Reviewing and endorsing the consultant's initial cost assumption & BOQ for all the construction phases, fine finishing, furniture and sports equipment.
- Developing the initial feasibility study in accordance with the steps above
- Designing the appropriate cash flow suitable for the construction plans & its targeted time schedule.
- Overseeing the tendering and construction contract award.
- Designing the marketing plans for membership; as well as defining the payment methods and membership approval criteria.
- Founding the administrative structure of the club.
- Formulating the club general bylaws applicable to members.
- Formulating the club rules of procedures applicable to staff and trainers.
- Formulating the sport activity bylaws
- Designing the operating plans for the various sport activities.
- Assigning the technical staff of the various sports (schools instructors , head coaches etc.)
- Designing operation plans for the recreational, social and cultural zones; and defining the appropriate management system (external or internal) for such zones.
- Preparing the annual operating budget including the total running cost for all the club activities within the operational process.

Requirements

- University degree in sports club operations, finance, or engineering
- Preferable; Master’s degree in Business Administration or sports management Minimum Experience:
- 10 years of experience in a Senior Management role in the development and operation of private sports and social club facilities
