The Brand Sales Specialist (BSS) is responsible for developing IBM server specific solutions that address client's business needs and deliver client value while supporting brand specific business strategies.

As a consultative, client-facing, sales professional, you will be guided by IBM's purpose: To Be Essential to its clients. You will actively engage clients to develop the trust and credibility to help them grow their businesses by solving strategic and tactical business problems with IBM's proven technology solutions.
We are seeking individuals interested in making an impact in selling IBM's server portfolio to both maintain and grow existing revenue streams and relationships and to develop new clients. You must be self-motivated, ready to interact with a variety of other highly motivated people, and work in a changing environment. Our Sales Specialists deliver industry centric business solutions to clients of all sizes and markets.
You'll also be responsible acquire critical resources needed to develop the best solution for the client, while applying IBM brand strategies and offerings, methods, and models, to ensure world-class design and delivery of the world's most innovative IT and business solutions.
Strong networking skills will be crucial as you will be required to work with different parts of IBM throughout the lifecycle of a deal. This will include the IBM client teams in the identification and qualification of opportunities, through to leading bid teams made up of legal, technical, commercial and risk personnel as you work through to closure. For some opportunities where it is a multi-brand deal you will be required to work closely with the sales leads for those brands, in some cases leading the deal for IBM and in others supporting where we are dependent on another part of IBM for success.
You will have a first track record of sales leadership and a successful track record of leading teams in the pursuit of complex opportunities is essential.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience in solving complex problems for enterprise organizations
- Sales Experience within an enterprise IT environment that carried an annual quota
- Track record of nurturing large enterprise accounts with multiple departments at different levels and close complex transactions
- Excellence in oral and written communications in English and German language
- Team, Deal and Engagement leadership
