Job Description & Summary
Senior Manager/Experienced Manager dependant upon experience of the individual and strategic importance and complexity of the country/cluster
Country / Cluster Finance Managers are key individuals in the Strategic Finance Team. They are not aligned to a specific LoS Finance team, instead have XLoS oversight across the landscape of finance activities within a territorial construct. They are responsible for providing the interface between the territory and central/local finance teams - working closely with country COOs and LoS to ensure that the financial services needs of the country's / cluster's are met. This role also provides on the ground oversight of LoS challenges and performance, helping Core Finance teams to better support the specific issues faced in country. Finally, they provide support for strategic financial guidance including taxation/regulatory/statutory reporting requirements and risk management.
Financial
- Provides financial reporting and MI to the local practices, supporting their analysis of territory Financial Performance against key KPIs
- Oversee delivery of any in country finance activities and specifically the coordination of processing activity with the shared service centre in Lebanon
- Provide Finance partnering to territory COOs in the same way that LoS Finance Partners support LoS COOs
- Identify and implement cost optimization initiatives within the function in coordination with the Strategic Finance Lead
- Support strategic finance activities - particularly planning, budgeting and forecasting for the territory / cluster
Customer
- Act as the customer service interface between key stakeholders in territory (COOs etc) and the core finance Team
- Manages the request of specific services from territory to finance
- Supports stakeholders in creating effective Management Reporting outputs, that support both strategic and operational decision making for the territory
- Ensure provision of high quality support services to internal counterparts in the firm
Internal Process
- Supports identification, management, mitigation and escalation of Finance Risks from a XLoS perspective
- Supports the alignment of local finance activities with centrally guided teams and processes
- Supports local Train the Trainer activities for finance systems etc
Learning & Growth
- Stay up to date on country taxation, regulatory and statutory reporting requirements and embed in business processes
- Support the LoS Partners in the assessment of financial risk and other relevant decisions
- Act as a key resource and liaison to other functional areas of the business, building cross-functional relationships as needed
