DAR Engineering, a leading design & engineering consulting organization in Saudi Arabia engaged in Power Generation, Electrical Transmission & Distribution, Health Care & High Rise Buildings
Job Purpose
Oversees the successful implementation of BIM Technology and related processes and serve as the head of BIM team during all phases of the project.
Key Accountability Areas
Project Planning:
- Partner with Project Stakeholders to define project Scope-of-Work.
- Review and analyze the Project contractProposal i.e., BIM scope of work, BIM uses, targets, project LOD,project phases, and the required BIM dimensions.
- Collect data from the client regarding Software, and its versions Revit, Navisworks, required add-ins, tools and dynamo scripts.
- Prepare and manage Project Key plan, Master plan, and partial plans and prepare the Project BIM Execution Plan.
- Manage Model Separation and linking Scenario.
- Prepare Project time schedule and milestones for Model Submittals, Squad Checks, Coordination zoning, Model Audit, In-Line Review and clash test reports.
Project Execution:
- Supervise BIM implementation process to ensure the implementation is according to the project schedule.
- Manage Project Folders "project path on server, mapped drive letter, folder customization, access permission.
- Analyze and study project Revit Models, project drawings, and documents.
- Perform quality control checks based on Models audit checklist and Clash test report.
- Assure that the BIM deliverables specified in the contract are provided in accordance with BIM standard. Validate the project model for submittal. Perform a final check on the Models clashes.
Stakeholder Management:
- Conduct periodic meetings with stakeholders to present progress of Revit Models.
Requirements
Role Accountability
- Lead and manage MEP BIM team operations as the head of MEP BIM Coordinators.
- Ensure adherence to BIM standards, quality control, and project requirements.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and training for the BIM team.
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate BIM into project workflows.
- Conduct regular reviews to identify and resolve coordination issues in BIM models.
- Act as the primary point of contact for BIM-related communication within the organization.
- Allocate resources effectively and optimize BIM software utilization.
- Develop and maintain BIM standards and best practices.
Academic Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
