Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Role purpose: Overseeing and managing the project managers ensuring the effective delivery of projects within an organization by establishing and maintaining project management standards, processes, and governance. Successful delivery of technical projects within an organization. They serve as a bridge between technical teams, stakeholders, and clients, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Establish and maintain project management methodologies, standards, and best practices within the PMO, tailored to meet organizational needs and industry standards.
- Define and implement PMO governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to standardize project management practices across the organization
- Monitor project performance, adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards, providing regular updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders
- Coordinate project activities, tasks, and resources to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to keep the project on track.
- Communicate project goals, milestones, and updates to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Facilitate regular meetings, status updates, and reviews with project teams and stakeholders to address concerns and ensure transparency.
- Lead cross-functional project teams, providing guidance, motivation, and support to team members.
- Resolve project issues and conflicts promptly, employing effective problem-solving techniques and escalation procedures when necessary.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and specifications, conducting reviews and inspections as needed.
- Implement quality assurance processes and measures to validate project outcomes and customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, understanding their requirements and expectations.
- Address client feedback and concerns promptly, striving to exceed client expectations and deliver exceptional service.
- Create and maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, status reports, and change requests.
- Generate project reports and metrics to track progress, budget utilization, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Requirements

Core competencies, knowledge and experience
- +8 Years Experience as a Project Manager
- Computer Science or Engineering Bachelors Graduate
- Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to lead and motivate teams, influence stakeholders, and drive organizational change to enhance project management practices
- Excellent command of Arabic and English
- Experience managing projects in software development, infrastructure deployment, system integration, or data analytics.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Microsoft Project for task management, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban, including experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and managing Agile teams.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies such as PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile, and Waterfall, with the ability to tailor methodologies to project needs.
- Knowledge of quality assurance processes and tools to ensure that deliverables meet specified requirements and quality standards.
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and technical specifications.
- Understanding of budgeting principles and experience in managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and making financial decisions within budget constraints.
- Experience in managing changes to project scope, schedule, and requirements while minimizing disruption to project progress.
- Project Management Certification (PMP, Prince2, CPM, etc.)
