Thales in Egypt is part of our Middle East business that has 1,800 people across Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, KSA, Lebanon, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar and UAE.Together We delivered fare collection and control and communication systems for the first metro line in Africa, Metro Line 1 in Cairo. Since then we have continued to bring growth and security and safety to the country by upgrading these transportation systems as well as providing solutions for customers in air traffic management, air defence and Navy.

Key Responsibilities

- Define acquisition Plan and coordinating all procurement actions and stakeholders for the project with countries of origin and countries of destination
- Provide secure procurement estimation including weighted Risks and Opportunities, on behalf of the procurement organization, for all performances related to "buy" part for the Bid life cycle and allow innovative alternative from the suppliersChallenge and check WPM inputs/ requirements in terms of quality, schedule, budgets…
- Consolidate the PSS with associated competitiveness plan
- Guaranty that all possible globalizations per category/commodity within the Project W.P. are implemented to maximize the competitiveness.
- Ensure that any information from the project is provided to the relevant Group Category Buyers to allow them any possible pooling per commodity with other Bids and projects.
- Collaborate with and influence Engineering and Design Authority to develop as cost competitive solution
- Contribute and challenge Make/Team/buy decisions
- Collect and Challenge the Expression Of Need with stakeholders to allow efficient and innovative alternative RFQ (schedule/ SOW/ specifications/ requirements/ budgets/ constraint….etc)
- Identify procurement strategy implementation across multiple Business Lines where appropriate
- Define Acquisition Plan in coordination with related stakeholders including PPM form countries of origin / category buyers/ Bid Team/ Technical team / Legal, Finance,
- Distribute and monitor to category buyers their individual work packages for procurement actions (through e-ACQ), define related objectives and drive and consolidate the feedback from category buyers
- Take the responsibility of some Procurement Work Package Management when necessary within the Integrated Project Team
- Define the flow down of T&C's in conjunction with Legal and Contract Manager.
- Issue internal and external reporting of Procurement activities
- Responsible to update the newly integrated ERP system with all required data.

Requirements

What are we looking for

- Minimum a Bachelor Degree or equivalent in relevant field
- 5 years of experience in Procurement field.
- Good experience of working on large scale of bid and projects in Transportation sector.
- Ability to work with several countries and stakeholders in a matrix organization.
