Introduction
This position is to join the IBM Cloud Labs organization as a Project Manager. You will be responsible for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of projects, within budget and timeline, leaving a positive footprint and paving the way for upselling in this account.

This position requires a combination of skills including strong decision making, communication and negotiation skills, risk management, team leadership, detect unstated assumptions and resolve conflicts.

Our Premium Support Program covers the entire software infrastructure lifecycle - from planning, through deployment, growth, and optimisation, to management of upgrades and change.

Responsibilities

This position is to join the IBM Cloud Labs organisation as a Project Manager. You will be responsible for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of projects, within budget and timeline, leaving a positive footprint and paving the way for upselling in this account. This position requires a combination of skills including strong decision making, communication and negotiation skills, risk management, team leadership, detect unstated assumptions and resolve conflicts.

Your day in the role will include

- Engage with client PM and stakeholders to coordinate establishment of project environment, prepare the project plan and mobilize the resources.
- Review project tasks, schedules, and resources and make changes or additions, as appropriate. Measure and evaluate progress against the project and resolve issues and deviations if they arise. Conduct regularly scheduled project status meetings with client PM.
- Manage the technical team on the project and follow up on their onboarding and offboarding process as well as their time allocation and deliverable completion.
- Handle the billing of the project and maintain a proper financial position in terms of cost and GP.
- Assist in upselling at existing accounts and preparing change requests or new proposals for client. Also assist in business development for new clients if required.
- Assist in getting customer references for successfully completed projects and helping in publishing those as success stories and customer wins.

You will come with the following expertise

- Hands on experience with Project Management Tools
- Contract preparation and negotiation
- Agile Methodology
- At least 5 years of Project Management experience in Software Development and Services Field.
