Job Description & Summary
A career in our Project Management practice, within Project Portfolio Management services, will provide you with the opportunity to help organisations balance long term strategies and short term imperatives to optimise their investments and strategic activity required to achieve the organisation's business objectives. We help enhance organisations project and programme performance by identifying alternative project approaches, consistently aligning projects with corporate strategy, setting the tone and pace of programmes from the outset, responding quickly and effectively to crisis situations, and extracting value from agile programme delivery.

As part of our team, you'll help our clients set the tone, pace, and point projects in the right direction from the outset. You'll help companies manage their projects by providing guidance, methodology, and tools needed to successfully complete a project lifecycle.

As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

- You will have significant experience (minimum 10 years) of successfully managing a range of complex, high value, transformative projects from project start up through to project closure.
- Developing robust and trusting relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
- Utilising appropriate and repeatable technology solutions to support high quality, efficient outcomes.
- Delivering through standard PM methodologies and processes (e.g. for planning, reporting) and help drive adoption throughout the organisation.
- You will have provided management and strategic direction and share responsibility for the project delivery.
- Champion of quality and managing risk exposure across multiple projects through the identification and management of key project risks to ensure the delivery of business goals.
- Supported projects to set up clear business / scope requirements, and ensure delivery of these, communicating progress through the agreed reporting routes and managing changes through the agreed, fit for purpose governance processes.
- Looks for opportunities to scale efficiencies and new ways of working across multiple projects and environments.
- Creates an environment where people and technology thrive together to accomplish more than they could apart.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as basic presentation skills
- Affinity to work with quantitative data, good analytics
- Ability to work within a fast-paced & unstructured environment. Must be able to multi-task and effectively and continually prioritise
- Service-oriented attitude, proactive thinker, networker, information seeker, team player
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Extensive knowledge of relevant application software e.g. Microsoft and Google Suite
- Ability to interact efficiently with senior members of the firm across multiple time zones

Requirements

- Strong communicator who is great at connecting the dots at an organisational, strategic, program, and project level.
- Advanced knowledge of project management and worked in a PM/PMO role.
- Able to engage not just on the how, but also the why, demonstrating your experience designing and strategic planning.
- Project team leadership with the ability to mobilise, inspire, and lead.
- Demonstrate that you have business and technological acumen and the ability to build an understanding of the business, to build and shape 'special project' delivery plans.
