Senior Java Developer

Job description / Role

Role Purpose
- Evaluate the business needs for Vodafone Products & Services.
- Design and execute the development of products & services.
- Take full ownership of code development, from initial design to final implementation.
- Embrace automation and DevOps methodologies, utilizing version control systems.
- Uphold the highest standards of quality and enhance customer experiences across all products & services.
- Provide third-line support to address live complaints, implementing fixes or enhancements as necessary.
- Engage with both technical and business stakeholders to align on requirements and proposed designs.
- Collaborate within an Agile team framework to meet business objectives.
- Ensure adherence to Vodafone's Security & Privacy policies and standards within the team.

Role Profile
- Detailed analysis of business requirements.
- Approaching simple & optimum design for products & services.
- Strategic thinking in building new solutions.
- Ensure proper documentation for all products & services.
- Sharing knowledge with team members and make use of best practices.
- Ensure the team embraces automation and DevOps techniques.

Requirements

Qualifications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Having strong data-driven analytical skills.
- Creative and problem solver with a passion to provide excellent customer experience.
- Comfortable with a multi-tasking, high-energy environment.
- Experience in managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications.
- Exposure to Virtualization, Cloud Computing and Cybersecurity is a plus.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in software engineering
