Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

About the role
- Responsible for all operational WLAN sites for a multi-national customer in over 90 countries.
- Provide level 3 troubleshooting and remediation of customer wireless networks beside supporting WAN (SD-WAN) / LAN (SDN) solutions.
- Owns the complex incidents and act as highest escalation for technical issues.
- Configuring Access, Authentication, Security policies for AP's
- Configuring AirOS Wireless LAN Controllers (2504, 5508, 3504, 5520 & 9800).
- Provide WLAN network support for 100% uptime critical networks.
- Provide solutions for Cisco Unified Wireless networking including LWAPP, Controllers, WCS management, WLSE, ACS, Location Services, WIDS, Secure Services Client, Network Admission Control (NAC).
- Ensure compliance with standards, laws, and privacy policies.
- Diagnose fault-related cases by effectively utilizing software diagnostics and other network/product utility programs
- Comply with all the special process and procedures agreed with the account teams and customers.
- Ensure cases are allocated to the most appropriate 'next step' as part of the case flow process.
- Perform technical escalations in line with company procedure.
- Document all troubleshooting and case management actions via the electronic case management system.
- Determination to process tasks according to predefined processes is essential.
- Provide internal WLAN trainings for team members.

Requirements

About you

- 5+ years of network operational technical hands-on experience including 8 years of implementing/t-shooting Cisco LAN/WLAN large scale solutions.
- Deep knowledge of various Cisco wireless LAN deployment scenarios :
- Local & Flex Connect APs.
- Local & Central Traffic switching.
- L2 & L3 Client Roaming.
- Guest Anchor.
- Central Radius Authentication .. etc.).
- Solid troubleshooting experience in related wireless LAN Topics:
-AP join.
-Client join & authentication.
-Client roaming.
-Mobility anchoring.
- Strong hands on experience of AirOS wireless LAN controllers (2504, 5508, 3504, 5520), knowledge of IOS-XE wireless controllers, mainly catalyst 9800.
- Excellent network troubleshooting skills in the following :
-VPN architecture: MPLS
-Network devices: Cisco routers, switches (including Nexus series).
-Routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP and BGP).
-Intensive knowledge of QoS
-Hands on experience of working on managing Cisco Prime & cloud based LAN controllers.
-IPSEC & GRE tunneling protocols.
-Voice over IP knowledge .
-Prefered CCIE R&S or CCIE DC or equivalent.
