Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Role Puprose

This role is fully responsible for:

Operation and Maintenance:
- Oversee the operation and maintenance activities of Vodafone MTXs/Data Centers, including electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ensure adherence to Vodafone standards and procedures in all maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electromechanical issues efficiently to minimize downtime.

Design and Construction:
- Lead the design, construction, and renovation projects within Vodafone's switches and Data Centers.
- Develop Mechanical designs that meet Vodafone's standards and requirements.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and successful project delivery.

Budget Management:
- Manage assigned OPEX budgets for Vodafone Egypt MTXs/Data Centers to achieve maximum savings.
- Provide input and recommendations for CAPEX allocations for new electromechanical projects.
- Monitor expenditure and identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality or safety.

Team Leadership and Coaching:
- Lead and coach a team of technicians and contractors to fulfil their assigned responsibilities effectively.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment within the team.

Health & Safety Compliance:
- Review and approve H&S plans submitted by vendors to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to health and safety protocols within new project areas.
- Conduct regular meetings with suppliers and vendors to increase awareness of health and safety standards.
- Ensure thorough investigation and reporting of any incidents within new project areas.

Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership
- Accountable for the Operation & Maintenance and Design activities for Vodafone Egypt MTXs and Data Centers, encompassing electrical and mechanical works, to ensure the optimal functioning and reliability of critical infrastructure.
- Supervise and ensure the attainment of Vodafone's corporate image for all Vodafone Egypt MTXs and Data Centers by closely monitoring and addressing trouble tickets and complaints promptly and effectively.
- Supervise the construction and design works for new projects within Vodafone Egypt MTXs and Data Centers, including contractor supervision across all trades, to uphold quality standards and ensure successful project execution.
- Manage and optimize the allocated OPEX & Capex budgets for each Vodafone Egypt MTX and Data Center, ensuring cost-efficient operations and strategic allocation of resources to support business objectives.
- Manage, Control, and monitor all external contractors and vendors, maintaining business continuity with a 99.9% uptime within Vodafone Egypt MTXs and Data Centers. Ensure a safe working environment for Vodafone Egypt employees, customers, and suppliers, while striving for the highest quality products and services.
- Health & Safety (Review H&S plans submitted from vendors, ensure all suppliersvendors are complying with H&S Plan, ensure that all incidents within new projects areas are well investigated & reported, conduct regular meeting with suppliers & vendors to increase the awareness).

Requirements

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is mandatory.
- Extensive experience (6+ years) in mechanical systems design, construction or operation and maintenance is crucial.
- Expert in Office 365 & AutoCAD 2D.
- Carrier HAP, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Software is preferred.
- Very good knowledge in Project Management
- Good knowledge in electrical systems design & operation.
