Job description / Role
Guildhall is working with a top tier contractor that is constructing iconic buildings in a brand new development in Cairo, Egypt.
We are looking for a Talented Senior Procurement Engineer that has worked on key building projects such as high rise, mixed use and iconic residences.
The role:
- Ensure accurate take-offs to ensure budgets are accurate.
- Research new materials for design and cost savings.
- Maintain subcontractor and supplier insurance policies.
- Develop and implement new purchasing strategies to deliver ongoing cost reductions and process simplification.
- Establish new relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure adequate resources for all projects and to improve continually pricing and quality of work.
- Maintain and implement construction preform / budget for the works.
- Negotiate pricing contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Issue purchase orders for procurement and expedition of materials and equipment for jobs.
- Meet subcontractors and suppliers on-site as necessary.
Requirements
- 10+ years experience in Procurement
- Experienced working either in Egypt or the Middle-East
- Experienced working for a Main Contractor
- Capable of working on large scale projects in Hospitality, Mixed use, Residential, commercial and High rise
- Fluent in English, Fluency in Arabic would be an advantage
