Supply Chain Coordinator

A subsidiary of Emiral Resources, Alliance Trading and Services DMCC, a commodity trading and consulting company based in Dubai, UAE is looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator in Egypt to join our team. Emiral Resources is an international group of companies engaged in mining exploration and production in Africa that offers proven expertise in mineral exploration, production, operation, advisory, and engineering services.

Position: Supply Chain Coordinator (6-month contract)
Location: Cairo, Egypt (remote)

Job requirements and experience:
- Physical presence in Cairo, Egypt
- Minimum 3 years of supply chain, procurement, and logistics experience.
- Knowledge of the mining industry and terminology is an asset.
- Established network of supplier contacts in Egypt
- Strong ability to build relationships, work in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision and a go-getter attitude
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills and attention to detail
- Computer literacy. Knowledge of MS Office and 1C applications
- Fluency in English and Arabic. Knowledge of Russian is an asset.
- Valid driving license and a vehicle
- Laptop and mobile phone

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying and assessing potential suppliers in Egypt for critical categories of goods needed for the company’s projects:
- Spare parts, components, and consumables for maintenance and repair of mining machinery
- Spare parts and components for crushing equipment, including consumables and components
- Chemical reagents: lime, cyanide, activated carbon, etc.
- Conducting initial audits of potential suppliers to evaluate their reliability, product quality, and ability to meet delivery deadlines
- Assessing the ability of suppliers to adapt to changes in order volumes and specifications, and their willingness to cooperate on flexible terms
- Developing a delivery strategy that includes defining the most efficient routes and methods of transporting cargo
- Choosing and collaborating with a customs broker to ensure smooth customs clearance of cargo, including preparation of all necessary transport and accompanying documents
- Ensuring all deliveries comply with legal requirements
- Providing a detailed weekly report on the work performed, including recommendations for improving supply and logistics processes, as well as contact information for all key partners and suppliers

Terms of employment:
- Competitive salary and bonus structure
- Fixed-term contract for 6 months with 1 month probation and a renewal option
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday 9 AM to 6 PM
