Visual Merchandiser - IKEA - Cairo Festival City - Cairo, Egypt

We are seeking to hire Visual Merchandiser to position the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishings in your primary market area (PMA) in order to maximise sales and long-term profitability. Based on your knowledge of people’s life at home and home furnishing competence, You present and communicate the IKEA offer in ways that make it attractive and relevant to your local market. You work to visualise the uniqueness of the IKEA product range within specialty shops, compacts, studios, the Self-serve furniture area, the Swedish Food Market and activities throughout the store to distance us from the competition. you contribute to maximising the impact of these store media in order to convert visitors into satisfied customers and stimulate repeat visits by creating vitality in all areas of the store throughout the year. Your job responsibilities will be including but not limited to:

Actively work to develop and implement:
- Store layout as a commercial tool
- Range presentation
- Store communication
- Retail
- maxmising sales and long-term profitability.

By strengthening the IKEA store as a medium through:
- Developing and implementing range presentation.
- Developing and implementing efficient and effective store communication, supporting self-choice and the mechanical sales system.
- Optimising the store layout.
- Reflecting the IKEA identity and creating visual impact in all commercial, sales support and co-worker areas.

By stimulating interest for home furnishing in order to grow the customer base and the market through:
- Gaining knowledge about people’s life at home in order to be relevant to the local markets.
- Using the richness of our range to show many functional, affordable solutions, in distinct and different styles in order to appeal to many individual tastes and needs.
- Challenging and encouraging people to see their home in a new way.
- Creating trust in the IKEA offer by presenting and communicating solutions for a sustainable life at home.
- Working with vitality to motivate people to visit the IKEA store frequently.

Requirements

- Preferably experience of working as visual merchandiser , passion and ability to work under pressure.
- 3 or more years of experience in a similar role

Job-Specific Skills:
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD

Behavioural Competencies:
- Self-reliant and motivated with a proven ability to work as part of a larger team.
- Ability to prioritise and organise personal tasks and the work of others in order to make the most efficient use of.
