Job description / Role

Responsibilities:
• Pre-sale support
• Clarify of technical details
• Application and Configuration of pumps
• Generate sales quotations and follow-up on all quotes to maximize quotation conversion rates
• Evaluate requests for non-standard product
• After-sales support
• Troubleshoot customer problems
• Assist with selection of spare parts
• Create submittal packages (certificates of compliance, Mill Test Reports, Performance Documentation, Test Data, etc.)
• Warranty claim technical evaluation
• General technical support:
• Technical assistance (product capabilities and application) for internal departments
• Maintenance of industry standards compliance including documentation (i.e. USDA, 3A, BPE,etc)
• Provide technical training of internal staff and channel partner staff
• Travel approximately 10-30%

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities of the Successful Candidate:
• Associate Degree or B.S. in Engineering or Engineering Technology discipline or equivalent industry experience
• Preferred industries: Process equipment suppliers to the dairy, food, or pharmaceutical processing industries; Dairy, food or pharmaceutical processors (end-users).
• Typically Minimum of 6 + years of experience
• Preferred Positions: Applications, technical sales support, sales engineer, field service, project engineering, equipment engineering
• Experience with the practical application of fluid handling equipment – pumps, valves, fittings, heat exchangers or related products
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple short-term tasks and work independently
• Ability to synthesize technical information from multiple sources
• Strong technical problem solving skills
• Positive customer-focused approach
• Strong PC skills including presentations, Excel and CRM software
• CAD knowledge or experience, a plus
• Knowledge or experience with Rheology, Metallurgy, Elastomers/Polymers, a plus
