Data Scientist / Lead Data Analyst

Swoo is the Media Tech arm of Abu Dhabi based company Algorythma.

SWOO is a livestreaming mobile platform that offers unique and high quality content to its viewers. Roles and Responsibilities:

- Work independently with minimal input and derive insights & actionable for the business.
- Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques.
- Developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. Define data collection needs for mobile and backend applications for each feature and own up the analysis after release of the feature.
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems and prepare reports required by management
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. Design experiments and carry out hypothesis testing for the identified trends.
- Forecast using collected data and external data sources
- Mentor junior data analyst and improve processes.

Requirements

Qualifications

- Degree in Computer Science or related field (IT / Math / Statistics / Engineering)
- Proven working experience as a data scientist or lead data analyst.
- Strong analytical thinker with ability to communicate methodology and results clearly to all stakeholders.
- Experience in statistical techniques such as classification, clustering, regression, statistical inference and collaborative filtering
- Strong knowledge on data mining and segmentation techniques
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong knowledge of and experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL), programming (Javascript), R/Python
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills and ability to present analysis in a clear and concise manner.
- Exposure to one or more of data collection tools like Google Analytics, Branch, Appsflyer, AppSee etc would be required.
- Exposure to one or more of data manipulation languages/frameworks like Spark, Hive/Pig/MapReduce for Big Data, Flink etc would be required.
- Exposure to one or more of visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Qlikview, Spotfire, Google Data Studio, D3.JS would be required.
- Experience in App Analytics, AWS and A/B testing will be preferred.
