Group Budgeting and Reporting Manager

Looking to identify a talented individual who will play a pivotal role in our client's organization's growth and development. This role will be working closely with senior finance professionals across Iraq and UAE and will be covering the function for the entire group.

Client Details

Our client is a private holding group operating in diversified industries including O&G, Energy, trading, shipping and real-estate sectors. It has offices in the UAE, Iraq and Europe and employs 1000+ collaborators.

We are urgently looking for a hands-on Group Budgeting & Reporting Manager to join the Iraq office (Kurdistan).

The Group Budgeting & Reporting Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the financial planning, budgeting, and reporting processes for the entire organization. This position involves collaborating with various departments to develop and monitor budgets, analysing financial data, and producing accurate and insightful reports for Leadership Team

Description

* Work closely with department heads to develop annual budgets for the group, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
* Provide guidance on budgeting best practices and support departments in creating realistic and achievable financial plans.
* Monitor budget performance regularly, identifying variances and working with departments to understand and address discrepancies.
* Conduct financial analysis to provide insights into budget trends, cost drivers, and potential areas for improvement.
* Prepare and distribute accurate and timely financial reports to senior management and key stakeholders.
* Provide insights into potential financial risks and opportunities based on forecasting data.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies in all budgeting and reporting activities.
* Support Ad-Hoc projects as requested by Line Manager.

Requirements

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field
* 5+ years' experience in budgeting, financial planning, and reporting, preferably in a multinational.
* Advanced knowledge of financial software and tools
