Job Overview:
The Head teacher is responsible for playing a pivotal role in steering the ship of the educational institution, overseeing its day-to-day operations and charting a course towards academic excellence and student well-being. Your leadership is instrumental in shaping the future of both students and staff, fostering a positive learning environment and building a strong bridge between the school and parents.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Vision:
• Provide strong, inspirational leadership to staff, students, and stakeholders.
• Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that values diversity and promotes a sense of belonging.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, guardians, and the wider community.
• Develop and implement the school’s educational policies and strategies to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
• Provide visionary leadership and set the school’s mission, vision, and educational goals.

Academic Excellence:
• Implement and oversee curriculum development in alignment with educational standards.
• Monitor and assess teaching methods to ensure quality education delivery.
• Implement strategies to enhance student achievement and academic performance.
• Oversee the development and implementation of the school’s curriculum, ensuring that it aligns with educational standards and meets the needs of the students.

Staff Management:
• Train, and evaluate teaching staff.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
• Conduct regular staff meetings for communication and professional development.
• Ensure a positive and productive work environment and support professional development opportunities for the staff.
• Providing guidance to teachers and other staff members regarding the classroom management, and curriculum planning.

Administrative Oversight:
• Manage day-to-day school operations, including scheduling and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with educational policies and regulations.
• Handle disciplinary matters for staff and student welfare in collaboration with relevant staff.
• Developing and implementing policies and procedures to meet the needs of students and teachers
• Conducting staff meetings to discuss goals and objectives, as well as issues regarding student discipline or staff relationships

Student Welfare:
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for students.
• Address student issues and concerns promptly and effectively.
• Implement and oversee student support services and extracurricular activities.
• Handle disciplinary issues and ensure that appropriate measures are taken to address any behavioral concerns.
• Regularly communicate with parents about school activities, student progress, and any relevant issues.
• Promotes the overall well-being of the students, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. They may collaborate with counselors, psychologists, and other professionals to provide necessary support.
• Maintaining records of student attendance, grades, behavior issues, and other pertinent information
• Enforce and monitor the school's uniform policy to ensure that all students adhere to the prescribed dress code.
• Collaborate with staff, parents, and students to create awareness and understanding of the importance of maintaining a consistent and neat appearance.
• Ensure that all students have the necessary textbooks and learning materials as per the school's curriculum in the classroom.

Performance Assessment:
• Establish and monitor performance metrics for both staff and students.
• Implement data-driven decision-making to improve school performance

Requirements

Position: Head teacher

Leadership Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in educational leadership, with a successful track record in school administration.
• Proven ability to provide visionary leadership and strategic direction.

Education:
• Master's degree in Education or a related field. A Doctorate is a plus.

Educational Leadership Skills:
• Strong understanding of current educational trends, teaching methodologies, and curriculum development.
• Demonstrated ability to foster a positive and inclusive school culture.
• Experience in implementing effective pedagogical practices and innovative educational programs.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, parents, and the broader community.
• Strong interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with all stakeholders.

Management Skills:
• Proven organizational and managerial skills with the ability to oversee the day-to-day operations of the school.
• Experience in budget management and resource allocation.

Team Building:
• Ability to build, lead, and motivate a high-performing team of educators and support staff.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Student-Centric Focus:
• A commitment to student success, development, and well-being.
• Implement strategies to enhance student achievement and engagement.

Community Engagement:
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with parents, local community organizations, and other educational partners.
• Actively engage with the community to enhance the school's reputation and support.

• Familiarity with education laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
