Job description / Role
INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN - OFFSHORE - UPSTREAM - IRAQ
Our client is a regional upstream oil and gas company engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of petroleum concessions. It currently has an immediate opportunity for experienced INSTRUMENT TECHNICIANS for its Northern Iraq projects which include a major new gas-utilisation industrial complex designed to promote private sector investment in a variety of gas-related industries.
Successful candidates will perform routine maintenance, fault-finding, repair and calibration of instrumentation and control equipment. Type of equipment maintained will cover all instrumentation and control equipment in the refinery, including field instrumentation, control valves, safety instrument systems, metering systems, power generation/turbine/compressor controls/ Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Distributed Control Systems (DCSs).
Requirements
IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING WE WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU.
• Diploma in Instrumentation & Control or equivalent.
• At least 4 years experience in the overhaul & repair of Instrumentation & control equipment in an oil refining or related industry.
• Strong working knowledge of the principles, practices & technology associated with the installation, operation and maintenance of instrument and control equipment installed in refineries.
