Position Summary
• Responsible for the planning and scheduling of construction work and work crew.
• Gathers and analyzes information to prepare reports on the progress of projects.
• Ensures that assignment and scheduling of work follows company policy.
• Evaluates current procedures and recommends changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling of projects.
Basic Function & Scope
• Responsible for the planning and scheduling of construction work and work crew. Gathers and analyzes information to prepare reports on the progress of projects.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Plans and prepares production schedules for fabrication, instillation, and repair of industrial process systems:
• Draws up master/discipline schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet client forecasted master schedule.
• Updates client through client accepted/ sponsored software.
• Analyzes production specifications and construction data and performs mathematical calculations to determine material, tools, and human resource requirements for the schedule.
• Plans and schedules workflow for each craft and operation according to previously established client sequences and lead times.
• Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other operations for guidance of construction workers.
• Planner/Scheduler confers with Client & Company management to determine status of projects.
• Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Prepares production reports.
• May prepare lists of required materials, tools, and equipment. May prepare purchase orders to obtain materials, tools, anent.
Requirements
Required Skills or Tools
Key Behaviors:
• Fluency in English
• Previous work experience or an apprenticeship in design and construction, and a background in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering are useful, as is knowledge of multiple workstations on a production line.
• Planner schedulers also must be able to work with databases, prepare reports and communicate with other employees, staff and customers regarding potential problems and schedule or production changes.
• Strong cost reporting skills and techniques
• Experience in the identification, monitoring and reporting of project risks
• Ability to develop and update schedules, create reports and provide analysis using Microsoft Project and Primavera.
• Experience working with project management plans (PMP) and plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E)
• Ability to keep clear and accurate records and reports.
• Ability to organize work load and to manage a filing methods and management techniques

Preferred
Education/Experience
• B.Sc. in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial)
• At least 10 years related work experience in scheduling, cost control, quality management
• Certified Project Management (PMP) certificate is desirable.
• Design & Project Experience on large-scale oil/gas and petrochemical capital projects
• Has clearly demonstrated strong engineering competence
• Ability to work within a diverse cultural environment
• Full fluency in English required.
• Second language desired.
• International Experience is required.
• MS Office (Excel and Word) and MS Project product competency required.
