Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Use of state-of-the-art survey equipment.
• Conduct a topographic survey of the benchmarks and control stations at the beginning of the contract and ensures the accuracy of the information by closing the survey to acceptable tolerances
• Carry out the surveys at a consistent standard of accuracy for roads, intersections, and bridges in addition to utilities and final finishing items.
• Cross-check survey stations and control points and identify any anomalies between coordinates and levels
• Ensure calibration of the survey equipment by an approved professional party before the beginning of survey works and thereafter at intervals in accordance with the specification or recommendation by the equipment manufacturer
• Maintain a database of all control points and survey stations located in the area of responsibility in accordance with the good for construction drawings and approved shop drawings.
• Report any damaged or missing survey control points and check the data for any new survey control points issued by the Survey Authorities
• Identify and bring to the attention of the Project Manager any anomalies or discrepancies between the survey information contained on the drawings and the actual physical site conditions
• Review and approve shop drawings to ensure compliance with the design drawings
• Carry out a survey check on coordinates, alignment, and levels upon casting every element to ensure that the constructed structure is complying with the shop drawings prior to cast the consequent part
• Check the settlement of the roads/bridges to ensure that the final value is within the design limits

Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Surveying
• 5+ years of experience in survey works related to roads and bridges
• Experience with leading land surveying activities on supervision sites
• Experience with coordinating with authorities and contractors on land surveying activities
• Advanced proficiency in the use of surveying instruments
• Ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally
• Good planning, organization, and presentation capability
• Strong attention to details
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Arabic
