Employment: Full Time

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced EHS Advisor to join our team in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations to create a safe and secure work environment for our employees and subcontractors. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in line with local regulations and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Provide guidance and support to project managers and site supervisors to address EHS concerns and implement corrective actions.
- Deliver EHS training programs for employees and subcontractors to increase awareness and promote a culture of safety within the organization.
- Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, or near misses, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders to maintain up-to-date knowledge of EHS laws and regulations.
- Participate in the development of emergency response plans and ensure effective implementation in case of an unforeseen event.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to assess the effectiveness of EHS programs and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and maintain EHS documentation, including reports, records, and permits, to demonstrate compliance with legal requirements.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in EHS management within the construction industry, with a strong understanding of relevant regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make decisions in challenging situations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and hands-on approach to EHS management.
- Familiarity with EHS management systems and software for data analysis and reporting.
- A commitment to promoting a positive safety culture and driving continuous improvement in EHS performance.
