Electrical Quality Control Inspector

Job description / Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Quality Control Inspector to join our team in Ireland. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical systems and equipment meet the required quality standards and regulations. This is a critical role in our organization to maintain the high-quality standards of our electrical projects and ensure compliance with industry regulations and codes.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality control inspections on electrical systems, equipment, and components to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and regulations.
- Identify and report any non-conformities, defects, or deviations from quality standards and work with the project team to implement corrective actions.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints to verify the accuracy and quality of electrical installations.
- Document and maintain accurate records of inspection findings, test results, and quality control reports.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address quality-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits to assess and improve the effectiveness of the quality control processes.
- Provide guidance and support to the project team regarding quality control requirements, best practices, and quality assurance procedures.

Requirements

- Proven experience as an Electrical Quality Control Inspector or similar role in the electrical industry.
- Thorough understanding of electrical systems, components, and equipment, as well as knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE).
- Certification or training in quality control, quality assurance, or electrical inspection is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues and non-conformities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
- Familiarity with quality control tools, techniques, and methodologies to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to analyze quality data, identify trends, and propose solutions for quality enhancement.
