Pipe Fitter

Job description / Role

We are seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter to join our team in Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, assembling, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing mechanical piping systems. The role requires a strong understanding of pipe systems and the ability to work with various materials such as steel, copper, and plastic.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the layout of piping systems
- Measure and cut pipes to required lengths using various tools and techniques
- Install and maintain piping systems, including supports, valves, and control systems
- Inspect and test installed systems to ensure proper functionality and performance
- Repair and replace worn or malfunctioning components
- Collaborate with other construction and maintenance workers to ensure efficient completion of projects
- Adhere to safety standards and regulations at all times

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter or in a similar role
- Familiarity with various pipe materials and installation techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
- Good physical condition and strength to handle the demands of the job
- Certification or training in pipe fitting or a related field is a plus
