Quality Engineer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Engineer to join our construction team in Ireland. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our construction projects meet the highest quality standards and regulatory requirements. The Quality Engineer will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity and reliability of our construction processes and deliverables.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures for construction projects.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to address quality issues and develop effective solutions.
- Create and maintain documentation related to quality assurance and control activities, including reports, test plans, and inspection records.
- Provide training and guidance to construction teams to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input to ensure that quality requirements are integrated into project plans and specifications.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints and non-conformance issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements to enhance the quality and efficiency of construction processes.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience working as a Quality Engineer in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
- Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with quality assurance principles, quality control techniques, and relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Procore).
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical specifications and drawings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate quality requirements to various stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and safety in construction projects.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while prioritizing quality and meeting deadlines.
