Scheduler / Planner

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Scheduler/Planner to join our construction team in Ireland. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining project schedules, coordinating with various teams and stakeholders, and ensuring timely completion of projects within budget. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes and excellent communication skills to keep all parties informed and aligned.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project schedules using appropriate software and tools
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for scheduling
- Identify potential scheduling conflicts and propose solutions to ensure on-time project completion
- Monitor project progress and update schedules as needed to reflect any changes or delays
- Communicate schedule updates to all relevant stakeholders and team members
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources
- Analyze project data to identify opportunities for improving efficiency and optimizing schedules

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Scheduler/Planner in the construction industry
- Proficiency in project scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools
- Strong understanding of construction processes, terminology, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Relevant certification or degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
