WORKS MANAGER – RUNWAY & AIRSIDE
Salary Basic of £60-70,000

Leading Civil Engineering Main Contractor is seeking a Works Manager to sit on a Major International airport delivering airside works, pavements & runway works. Fast track demanding project with a spend of circa €7Million a month at present.

This person will understand urgency, safety and quality management whilst leading a team of engineers & foreman on site.

You may well of been called a General Foreman, Works Manager or Construction Manager. Titles are titles but what our client cares about are you day to day duties and responsibilities whilst based on site every day.

Directly reporting into the Project director the next year will be focused to driving the delivery elements on site to ensure program is hit. Can you program, coordinate and manage whilst working under a tight time frame. Yes you will be able to multi-task a number of factors whilst driving the team towards the finish line.

Scope of works

- Managing the self delivery of 23,000m3 of PQC.
- Coordinating and driving 34,000m3 of CBGM , Testing, production and quality aspects.
- There is an initial 1 Year program of work on Dublin.

After this our client is open to transferring you to the UK Division or the International Division depending upon your desire and the current workload. At present the business has international projects underway in the Caribbean, Europe & 2 pending awards in Asia.

The right person will be supplied a basic salary of £60-70,000 Plus Apartment, Transportation , Medical, Annual Bonus & Flights if needed on a monthly basis.

Salary:
GBP 5,000 to 6,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

What our client are seeking

- Clear experience handling horizontal concrete projects
- Exposure to the airside environment of construction is desired.
- Different environment due to passes , permits and penalties for possession & late handovers
- Strong communication skills able to manage up stream , down stream and motivate and drive a workforce
- Happy to work in a Team and very much a team player
- Clear experience of Pavement Quality Concrete & Cement Bound Granular Mixture
- Will you pass a security check? Be honest with us and yourself as due to the environment issues will be raised during the security checks.
