Consumer Director

Job description / Role

A leading FMCG company is looking for a senior professional to lead the development and management of the OTC consumer products in the MENA region and ensure effective deployment of the OTC business strategic direction & plan.

Key Responsibilities:

* Establish Unit strategic direction, marketing strategy and plans, business development, commercialisation and trade tactics as well as implementation plan.
* Manage a growth business profit and loss (P&L)
* Life cycle management of in-house products into consumer health brands
* Drive new product development, build partnerships with global companies and target mergers and acquisitions to expand existing consumer health-care portfolio
* Lead a regional patient / consumer engagement platform with a 360-degree omni channel (digital and traditional) integrated marketing approach
* Lead and build the capacity of sales and marketing teams centrally and at the country level
* Lead the development and management of the OTC consumer arm of the branded business in MENA
* Business planning (5 year business plan)
* Budgeting and financial planning cycle as well as marketing (digital & conventional)
* Trade execution plans to be used and adopted by the local markets

Requirements

Key Requirements:

* Bachelor degree in life sciences or business
* Post grad business qualification is a plus
* Minimum 10 years industry experience in marketing, commercial and functional roles
* Specific experience in consumer goods/health & OTC marketing, digital and capability building is a plus
