A career within Operations, will provide the opportunity to support our engagement teams and clients operationally by providing advice on accounting, financial reporting, and strategic business issues. In joining, you'll help ensure a complete and relevant exchange of information among our consultants and in turn with engagement teams and clients, provide experts advice on a variety of specific topics, support engagement teams in resolving complex issues, and supporting clients and their subsidiaries in evaluating the potential impact of accounting and reporting standard setting initiatives. You'll develop strong relationships with our engagement teams and enhance our ability to meet greater investor expectations with the challenges of an increasingly complex business environment.

As a part of our team, you'll help assist engagement teams in the areas of resource management, learning and development, human capital, reporting, technology and innovation, and quality and compliance.

The Contingent Workforce team is a critical part of PwC Deals business and plays a crucial role in enabling the business to respond and pivot quickly to meet client and project demands. The job holder of this role needs to be a seasoned Operations professional as well as change agent responsible for a team that partners across Deals LoS to proactively support Contingent Worker needs, oversee CW vendor relationships, and partner with internal stakeholders on policy, budgeting, reporting, supplier management, sourcing and escalations.

The role

As a Contingent Workforce Manager, your responsibilities will include:

- Contributing to the Contingent Workforce strategy in alignment with operational objectives of the business
- Conduct research on industry practices, help analyze and suggest reasonable and optimized subcontracting models to improve service delivery qualities with better cost control
- Partner with internal cross-functional partners and business leaders to ensure the Subcontracting model suits business needs and includes location strategy, contingency planning, linked to business demand and is audit ready
- Identify top skills/demand for bulk buys; focus on larger volume demand strategy vs one-off need
- Manage and oversee end-to-end CW operations and processes for receiving business requirements, review & due diligence of demands shared by business, securing approvals, sourcing, contracting, onboarding, and monitoring of contingent workers and vendor partners
- Address inquiries and escalations from the business that come through regarding contingent workers
- Partnering with HC, business, and procurement, identify, define, build and deploy process improvement initiatives and optimization projects to reduce manual touchpoints and ensure continuous process and experience improvements
- Develop and maintain CW processes for business support and internal team-facing process/procedures/content
- Develop and implement reports and dashboards to ensure accurate CW reporting to Leadership on a regular basis
- Collaborate with Business, Procurement and other stakeholders on Vendor identification, optimization, negotiations and management
- Nurture successful vendor relationships with Contingent Workforce staffing agencies, Direct Subcontractors and other third party vendors
- Lead contract consolidation efforts with staffing agency partners including but not limited to contract renegotiations, and Requests for Quotes (RFQ) and/or Requests for Proposals (RFP)
- Monitor performance against contract SLA's, invoicing and supplier compliance tracking
- Develop and oversee vendor governance & compliance practices within the CW processes and operations to limit legal exposure to the firm
- Deploy risk management strategies to manage risk across different types of contingent workforce solutions and third party vendors
- Lead the Contingent Workforce team and provide necessary guidance to ensure the organization, process, and model proactively evolves to meet emergent business needs through the implementation of technology-driven solutions

Requirements

The Requirements

- 5+ years of combined experience in project management, recruitment, staffing, contingent labor space, and procurement. Preference in staffing, procurement or HR.
- Hands on experience with policy, budgeting, reporting, supplier management, sourcing and escalations in relation to contingent workers
- Program management experience to include leading, planning, organizing and implementing analysis of program service levels, quality and vendor metrics, driving special projects designed to maximize efficiency and improve quality
- Demonstrated experience identifying trends, analyzing complex information, recognizing best practices, making recommendations
- Capable to deliver through others and work as one team with internal and external partners and costs
- Ability to see the 'big' picture and capable of thinking beyond the immediate area of responsibility
- Can work well under pressure and agility to flex within a changing environment
- Confident to develop and manage relationships with various internal functions at all levels of the organization
- Knowledge about the professional services industry
- Experience using a Vendor Management System (e.g., FinancialForce, Beeline)
- Excellent change management, process management, and negotiation skills
- Data analysis, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Highly skilled in verbal and written communication
