Project Controls Manager (Civils and Buildings)

Job description / Role

My client is a leading international construction company with an excellent reputation and track record of working on some of the Middle East most high profile and challenging projects. They are currently working on the construction of a major resort/hotel development in the Aqaba region of Jordan and are looking to recruit an experience project controls manager. The person will be responsible for project planning and scheduling, field engineering office, sub-contracting, cost control and contract administration and stores and materials. The role includes the following;

- Preparation and updating programs and schedules in accordance with drawings and contract obligations. these indicate the planned and actual progress of each separately identified aspects of the project.
- Provision of a monthly and up to date compilation of all expenditures of the project compared to budget.
- Studies of performance date to determine any b=variation from contracts, variation from budget and information concerning unit cost.
- Assisting in developing fully detailed method statements.- managing the site engineering office- managing the stores- preparing and updating labour resource programmes.

Requirements

Candidates must have a degree in either civil or structural engineering, building technology or architecture as well as at least 15 years experience in planning and project controls on major civil and building construction projects involving an in depth knowledge of a multi discipline environment. Candidates must have experience of working on hotel and resort projects and must have high level analytical and management skills.
