Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsible for the overall implementation of the project. This includes but is not limited to:

• Represent the company towards the Employer, Engineer, Subcontractors, Suppliers and all other Authorities or Agencies that might be required during the course of the Project.
• Responsible for client relations
• Ultimately responsible for the safe and successful execution of the project.
• Protect the company’s interests and promote its image.
• Ensure execution of the project in the fastest and most economical manner as well as to the highest possible satisfaction of all parties involved.
• Direct, manage and control the project team, along with the subcontractors to ensure that objectives are met through all project phases, and are in accordance with the procedures and policies of the Company.
• Enter into, modify, amend, and execute subcontracts with respect to the project, subject to the Operations Manager guidelines.
• Execute change orders with subcontractors, approve requisitions, approve or withhold progress payments.
• Provide releases and final payments to subcontractors subject to the Operations Manager approval.
• Execute change orders and perform under notices, as requested by the employer, subject to the Operations Manager guidelines
• Ensure availability and provision of all resources
• Provide necessary information to the Operations Manager
• Safeguard the company’s assets
• Ensure the application of established procedures, as well as the maintenance of the cooperation and communication between the various sections.
• Provide proper internal reports required by the Operations Manager, following the company procedures

Requirements

• B.Sc. Degree in Engineering (Preferably Civil)
• 20+ years of construction experience working on large construction projects.
• At least 10 years of which experience as Project Manager
• Previous experience working on projects for US Corps of Engineers
• Experience with airports and Airfield is a must
• Ability to tightly control and manage project schedules, budgets, scopes of work, contract changes, internal staff resources and subcontractors.
• Experience and understanding of construction site QA/QC
