Commercial Director

Job description / Role

My client a large international contractor has an urgent opening for a Commercial Director for a flagship highrise project in Kazakhstan.

Summary of role:
- Use the resources available to him, and make recommendations for changes and or additions if needed, to ensure the Project’s commercial position, in all its facets, is transparent, auditable and proactively managed to maximize outturn profit through vigorous cost control from design to handover.
- Shall establish a relationship with the relevant members of the Client’s organization to facilitate such actions as are required to maximize out turn profit as noted previously.
- Shall provide concise, comprehensive and timely commercial reporting to the Project Director and JV Board of Directors.

Key Duties:
- Develop and ensure Company/ JV commercial procedures are maintained by sharing best practice and continual improvement to protect company’s commercial position.
- Responsible and accountable for developing and executing business strategies to deliver growth in accordance with the Company/JV plans.
- Formulation and implementation of interventions to deliver sustained performance in terms of securing tenders and new business opportunities for Company /JV.
- Compilation and presentation of claims management strategies for the Company /JV.
- Review reports on the status of contracts indicating current status with regards to financial situation and provide and recommendations for improvements.
- Monitor the implementation of commercial policies and procedures within the organization ensuring legal compliance.

Requirements

All candidates should fulfil the following criteria:

- The candidate must have 20+ year post-graduate experience,

- Must hold a university degree in a relevant discipline

- Must have commercial experience in iconic Building International Projects.
