Job description / Role
My client a leading international contractor has an urgent requirement for a De-Watering Superintendent for one of its projects in Kazakhstan.
Suitable candidates should be able to complete all duties as outlined below and have previous experience in a similar role.
- Be responsible for all dewatering activities on site
- Manage the dewatering personnel, consisting of engineers, foremen, pump operators, tanker drivers, labourers and sub contractors.
- Manage the dewatering equipment, consisting of dewatering pumps, well pointing equipment and water tankers
- Manage the discharge of water either on site for earthworks operations and dust control or to lagoons.
- Propose technical dewatering solutions for excavations. This will include method statements and sketches outlining the scope of works
- Liaise with site construction teams and plan future works.
- Order plant and equipment in order to meet the
- Liaise with Client on current works and future proposals.
- Carry out regular tool box talks with dewatering team
- Update plant and equipment registers on a daily basis
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years experience on international assignments.
- Previous CIS country experience is preferable.
- Previous experience in hardship locations essential.
